Denver Lawrence Lindsey, age 76, of Dawson Springs born on February 28, 1948, in Lumber Port, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2024, at Jennie Stuart in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. He was a member of Daysprings Assembly of God.
Denver proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, retiring after 26 years, embodying the spirit of dedication and sacrifice that defines our nation's heroes. His military service was a significant chapter in his life, reflecting his commitment to duty and his fellow citizens.
He leaves behind a loving family, including his devoted wife, Stella Riley Lindsey. Denver is also survived by his son, James Robert Lindsey of Jacksonville, Florida, and stepson Owen Daniel Riley of Kyle, Texas. He was the cherished brother of Margarette Irene Ware in Eastonoly, Georgia. Denver took great pride in his role as a grandfather to Angela Riley, Matthew Riley Lindsey. He brought joy to their lives with his unwavering support and love.
Denver's impact will also be felt by those who knew him, as he was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters. The legacy of his kindness and strength will continue to resonate within his family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Goodman Funeral Home, located at 1032 West Main St, Princeton, KY 42445. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 PM. A private burial at Kentucky Veteran’s Kentucky Cemetery West to take place at a later date.
